Individual Therapy
I provide individual therapy for a variety of treatment issues ranging from stress and life transitions to clinical depression and anxiety. We all face challenges that stress our minds, emotions and bodies. I deeply believe that while we may not be the cause of all our problems, we are responsible for finding means to effectively deal with them. I offer a supportive, compassionate, judgment free space to grow your life skills. I pull from a variety of evidence-based treatment modalities including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness-based interventions and principles. My work is informed by scientific studies from positive psychology - which is the scientific study of the strengths that enable individuals and communities to thrive - and studies on self-compassion for resilience and well-being. “The only decision we get to make is what role we’ll play in our own lives.” ~ Brené Brown
Consultation & Coaching
Coaching appointments provide a forum for clients to explore how you want to show up in your life, what strengths you want to cultivate and what you want to let go of. To discover what inspires you and what you are passionate about. By aligning goals with client’s unique personal values, we travel together on your journey of personal growth.
Unlike working with a “life coach,” who may be unlicensed and even untrained, my work is informed by my clinical psychology degree, which helps me understanding human motivation, behavior, learning, and change. Sessions are informed by the scientific studies on well-being, resilience and happiness.
Clients may benefit from short-term consultation appointments to address a major life event, a sudden change, common life transitions, or parenting challenges. Talking to an unbiased professional can help. Consultation can be helpful for working on a specific problem or for creating a concrete plan to move forward.
Areas of Specialty

Adolescent and Young-adult Services
I offer high quality, specialized treatment for high risk teens and young adults. I have over 20 years of experience treating self-injury, eating disorders, suicidal behavior, and substance abuse. I use a team approach, as I believe the family and various community members play a critical role in healing. With permission, I work closely with teachers, school psychologists, medical doctors, and anyone who plays a critical role in the teen’s life. Therapy is aimed to decrease impulsiveness, negative coping behaviors and improve distress tolerance, emotional regulation, and mental and physical well-being.
